Widnes Wild IHC are proud to share the most significant announcement in our history, a moment that will shape the future of our club for generations to come.
We are delighted to confirm that the Widnes Wild Academy is now under the direction of Widnes Wild NIHL1, formally aligning all levels of the club under one unified structure.
As part of this alignment, we are also pleased to announce our intention to launch a Widnes Wild Division 2 side, set to compete in NIHL2 North Laidler, pending England Ice Hockey approval, from the 2026/27 season.
This marks the creation of a clear, sustainable development pathway within Widnes Wild, from U10s through to NIHL1, ensuring our players have the opportunity to progress, develop and reach their full potential entirely within our organisation.
This is a defining step forward for Widnes Wild, strengthening our foundations, investing in long-term growth and reinforcing our commitment to player development, community and excellence on and off the ice.
An Expression of Interest form for our Division 2 side will be released in the coming days.
