Following the end of Widnes Wild’s 23/24 season, we would like to take the opportunity to thank our #9, the legend who is ‘King’ Ken Armstrong!

After 10 years with the club, Ken has announced he will be hanging up his skates. During his time in Widnes, Ken has iced 319 games in a Wild jersey, racking up 16 goals, 28 assists and 52 PIMS.

Over the seasons, Armstrong has been apart of the side who were the NIHL North D2 playoff champions for 3 consecutive years from 2016 – 2019. Additionally, he has also lifted the NIHL Moralee cup in the 20/21 season and the NIHL 1 North cup both in 2021 and 2022.
