Widnes Wild are delighted to announce the re-signing of forward #8 Flynn Massie, whilst on a 2-way deal with Peterborough Phantoms for the 25/26 season! 

This season marks Flynn’s first full season with the club, since joining back in 2022 while also icing with his home side of North Ayrshire Wild. 

Last season, Flynn recorded 12 points (3 goals + 9 assists) from 13 games after joining Widnes once more from DNL U20 2 side, Lowen Frankfurt. 

This year, Flynn has agreed a 2-way deal with NIHL side, Peterborough Phantoms which will give him great opportunity to develop his game further however Widnes will have priority on the agreement. 

Following his return to Widnes, Flynn commented, 

“Wild Fans, I am delighted to be rejoining the wild this season. It is going to be an extremely exciting season ahead and I can’t wait to see you all supporting me and the rest of the lads as we improve on last season’s performances!” 

Meanwhile Head Coach, Tom Jackson added, 

“Having a player like Flynn who brings his very best to the ice every time he is on it.

I’m excited to have a player like him in the team this upcoming season.

Flynn has also been given a fantastic opportunity with Peterborough Phantoms to develop and learn at the next level in the sport.

I’m Hoping to see him push for ice time in the national league and take his opportunities when they come but also bring that same attitude back to Widnes over the course of the season!”
