COACHING THE CLAW FOR YEAR 3
Widnes Wild are delighted to confirm the re-signing of Head Coach Tom Jackson for the 2026/27 season.
A familiar face around Widnes, Jackson enters his third season behind the bench after making the transition from Captain to Head Coach during his time with the club, since joining in our inaugural season. His passion, commitment and loyalty to the organisation have made him a key figure in Wild’s continued development both on and off the ice.
Under Jackson’s leadership, Wild have continued to build a strong culture throughout the organisation, laying important foundations for future success while continuing to develop the team’s identity on the ice.
Following confirmation of his return, Jackson said
“I am pleased to confirm that I will be extending my tenure as Head Coach of the Widnes Wild for the upcoming season.
Over the past two years, we have worked hard to build a strong foundation both on and off the ice. I am proud of the progress the organisation has made, the culture we have created, and the commitment shown by our players, staff, volunteers, and supporters.
My goals for the season ahead are clear: continue strengthening the on-ice product, push the team higher up the league table, and position the Widnes Wild to challenge for silverware. The groundwork laid in recent seasons gives us the platform to take the next step, and I am excited to lead that charge.
I remain fully committed to the long-term growth of this organisation and to delivering a team that represents Widnes with pride. I look forward to building on what we’ve started and driving the club forward into its next season.”
Everyone at Widnes Wild would like to congratulate TJ on his re-signing and we look forward to seeing him behind the bench once again for the 2026/27 campaign.
Be sure to keep an eye on the club’s social media channels, with more roster and club announcements coming soon.
