The YKK Widnes Wild are delighted to announce the new signing of Innes Gallacher for the 23/24 season.

 

Gallacher already has experience at a senior level, posting 60 points from his past 2 seasons icing for the Kilmarnock Thunder (SNL) from 2021-2023, averaging over 3.5 points per game. Innes also recorded a total of 134 points (84 goals + 50 assists) from just 48 games over 5 years playing for the Kilmarnock academy system. Gallacher will be available to ice for the Wild when they face the Whitley Warriors this Sunday. 

New signing Innes Gallacher commented:

 

‘ I’m really happy to be joining this organisation and excited to get going with the boys and push for more points throughout the season. I’ve pushed to be at a higher level in this sport and when the opportunity presented itself, I jumped at it. Following the scores recently, we hope to turn it around for us and the fans.’

 

Meanwhile, player-coach Joey Coulter added:

 

‘It doesn’t take a hockey analyst to realise we’ve been slacking offensively and on that note, Innes Gallacher is a goaltender’s worst nightmare. The young Scotsman has a lot of desirable traits, but his finishing ability alone is exceptional, just an absolute goal machine. I’m expecting Innes to hit the ground running this Sunday, I have zero doubts once this guy gets going he will be producing some big numbers for us. We are very grateful to the coaching team over at Kilmarnock Thunder for helping us get this over the line.’
