Widnes Wild are delighted to announce the re-signing of forward #14 Tristan Grimshaw for the 25/26 season!

This will be Tristan’s 2nd consecutive season with the Wild, despite having to miss the last campaign due to injury. Grimshaw however is no stranger to Widnes, having signed off his junior career under our academy, progressing up to the senior squad during the 21/22 season.

Following his return to the Wild, Tristan commented,

“I’m very happy to be returning for another season. We’ve got some areas to improve on from last year and I’m excited to finally get started after my injury.

The fans are a critical part of the club and I’m looking forward to playing infront of you all next season. This is a club I love to be a part of, really looking forward to the start of the year!”

Meanwhile, Head Coach Tom Jackson stated,

‘We signed Tristan back with us in the 24-25 off season after a couple of seasons away from Wild colours and he was a big part of our plans for last year’s campaign.

Tristan was no stranger to Widnes as he played for us during both the streaming series completed his junior career under the Wild academy set up.

Unfortunately he picked up an injury prior to the league season, it was a big loss for us missing him for the full year. However Tristan has now recovered, rehabilitated, has really been working hard and will continue to over the summer to start the season even fitter and stronger than ever before.

I have big hopes for Tristan over the coming season for his come back year, he is a skilful player which will bring excitement and determination into the play.He is definitely a player to watch and I am looking forward to seeing his contributions over the course of the coming season.”
