Widnes Wild are delighted to announce the re-signing of forward, #44 Dani Haid for the 25/26 season!

Haid re-joined the Wild mid-way through the 24/25 season from fellow NIHL1 side, Solihull Barons where he had also spent the previous season. Dani quickly made an impact for Widnes, recording 14 points (7 goals + 7 assists) from just 13 games.

However Dani is no stranger to Widnes, having first worn the Wild jersey back in 2019 after joining from Germany4 side, Chemnitz Crashers and continued to do so for the next 4 years as Wild made the step up to Division 1 hockey. He also was a member of the NIHL Moralee Cup winning squad back in 2022, posting 8 points from 14 appearances.

Following his re-signing, Dani commented,

“I’m really happy to join the Wild for another year.

I am sure we will be able to keep building on the positive momentum we had at the end of last season.

The warm welcome back I received from our fans meant a lot to me and I will keep working hard to give them a reason to keep coming back to the rink every weekend.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again at the Jungle soon!

Cheers, Dani”

Meanwhile Head Coach Tom Jackson added,

“Having brought Dani back into the team just after Christmas last season, he really hit the ground running once more with us. Settling straight into the core of players, really adding to the team both in on ice product and team mentality – he was a brilliant signing for us who was a part of our resurgence in performances.

Bringing Dani back into the squad for this season was pretty much a no-brainer with the impact he had. Once more, we are looking forward to seeing what he brings again to the table from the start of the season so he can help us hit the ground running and boost our performances again.”
