Paz Is Ready For Another Bout
Widnes Wild are delighted to announce the re-signing of forward Alex Parry for the 2026/27 season.
Parry returns for his second season in Widnes after an outstanding debut campaign that quickly established him as one of the club’s most important offensive players.
Having joined the Wild from local rivals Deeside Dragons ahead of the 2025/26 season, Parry made an immediate impact in black and yellow. The hard-working forward recorded 30 points during his first year with the club, finishing as Widnes’ third-highest points scorer and earning the club’s Best Forward of the Season award.
His consistent performances and relentless work ethic made him a key member of the Wild forward group throughout the season, setting the standard night after night.
Speaking after agreeing to return for another year, Parry said:
“I’m delighted to be returning to the Wild for another season. Last year gave us a strong foundation to build on, and I’m excited for what’s ahead.
The ambition around the club is clear, and with the support of the fans behind us, I’m ready to leave it all on the ice once again.

Head Coach Tom Jackson was full of praise for the forward’s impact during his first season in Widnes.
“Paz came in last season and from day one showed exactly what he brings every single night.
He led by example, set the standard in our forward group, and was a clear and deserving candidate for Best Forward of the Season.
I’m looking forward to seeing what Paz can deliver in his second year in Widnes as he builds on an already impressive first campaign.”
After making such a strong impression during his first season with the club, Parry’s return is another major boost for the Wild as preparations continue for the 2026/27 campaign. With a full season of Widnes hockey under his belt and a strong foundation already established, the forward will be looking to build on an excellent debut year and help drive the team forward.
