Widnes Wild are delighted to announce the signing of 31 year old Callum Griffin to the club for the remainder of the 25/26 season. 

Callum joins the Wild with vast experience, having over 275 games under his belt across Division 1 and Division 2 level, recording 208 points over 13 seasons. 

Griffin grew up through Telford Tigers academy, progressing up to senior level in 2010 where he has stayed since, becoming a core player within the Telford set up. 

However, he’s now ready for a change and we can’t wait to see him ice in  Wild colours TONIGHT!

Following his signing, Callum commented…

‘I’m excited to have signed with the Widnes Wild for the remainder of the season. The guys have put up some great results and performances so far, and I’m hoping I can add to the roster and help keep that momentum going.

I’m grateful for this opportunity from the Wild and I’m looking forward to contributing to the team on and off the ice. I’ve already heard & witnessed amazing things about the Wild fans and I can’t wait to be apart of your team!’

In a short space of time he’s already shown he’s willing to compete for a spot and that he’s a great addition to the dressing room. Callum has bought into what we’re building here in Widnes, and we’re pleased to have him wearing the Wild jersey.

With this signing, we now have more options to build the competitive roster I’ve been aiming for this season. It will keep players pushing themselves, and with the depth we now have, it also allows for players to be scratched when needed to drive performance.’
