Widnes Wild are delighted to announce the signing of forward #26 Robbie Thomson for the 25/26 season!

Thomson joins the Wild from SNL side, Paisley Pirates but is no stranger to Widnes having iced 7 games last year on a 2-way agreement where he recorded a goal.

Thomson has developed his skills through Lanarkshire academy and has represented Scotland at multiple ages. This season, he is ready to commit to Widnes full time at NIHL1 level!

Following his return to Widnes, Robbie commented,

“I’ve been playing on a two-way with both Widnes Wild Academy and Widnes Wild for the past couple of years.

I felt the time was right to take the next step in my development and fully commit to a permanent position with Widnes Wild.

I’m really excited to be back and can’t wait to get going again.”

Meanwhile, Head Coach Tom Jackson added,

“Robbie joined us last season in stints on a two way and showed he has the potential to play and compete at this level at such a young age.

Over the past year Robbie has developed even further and we explored the opportunities around bringing Robbie back into the team.

I’m happy to announce Robbie will be joining us on a full time basis and I look forward to having him onboard this season!”
